Telling Stories With Music

Guy demonstrates how you can drastically change the emotional context of a scene with your music. We score a short scene in two different ways and you'll see just how powerful your music can be when communicating to the audience how they should feel about the characters on screen.

short films to download and score

It's hard to find music-free film clips that include dialog and foley, but that’s what you need to practice real-world scoring. This course includes four, spanning different genres. Plus there are accompanying tutorials that show some different approaches you could take for two of the films, and some key moments to look out for.
