module 1

Creating SFX

Learn the process of finding, layering, and blending sound effects to create unique narratives for events on screen. Whether you're designing simple, life-like sounds, or something more fantastical, we'll look at how to spot and analyse the scene and make creative choices to convince the listener of your sound world.

module 2

Creating Foley

From setting up your microphone, to matching the on-screen performance and tweaking audio to mimic the actor, this module looks at the art form of Foley. We'll discuss how it differs from library-based SFX creation and how you as the sound designer can be an active participant in the performance of sound.

module 3

Mixing

Bringing it all together in the mix is the crucial final step. Explore how you can highlight different on-screen events with your mix and present the listener with the right sound at the right moment.

Chad Orororo is an Emmy-nominated and award-winning sound designer with credits including Netflix’s The Tinder Swindler and The Deepest Breath. His work spans documentaries, drama, and factual content for Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, BBC, and ITV.

He is also a BAFTA Breakthrough UK candidate and an Urban Synergy Ambassador, mentoring and inspiring the next generation of creatives.
